Steven C. Stryker
Steven Stryker is currently a Senior Consultant for Strategic Management
Group, Inc. working with clients in the areas of Project Leadership,
Strategy Formation and Realization, and Performance Improvement.
In the twenty-one years of professional experience as a project
manager, trainer, course developer, consultant, author, and college
professor, a major focus of activity has been in strengthening project
management capability with participants in the professional activities
at hand.
With both private and public sector clients, Steve has been involved
in:
- Defining and implementing the project management lifecycle
across an array of technical and management projects spanning
the research, information systems and services arenas.
- Developing and applying project planning to various organizational
contexts through tailoring of the process and outcomes to generate
results intended.
- Effectively communicating how to establish, use and control
a project baseline in both the training and consulting contexts.
- Deciding which computer software is best for your project management
applications.
- Furthering means to select project team and project manager
and ensure effective dynamics occur.
- Strengthening ways of doing timely and effective communication
about project status.
- Creatively defining and allocating resources to complete projects
under ever-tighter resource constraints.
The above training experience has included using and assessing
the results of role-plays or video-taping, simulations, and/or group
case studies incorporating state-of-the-art texts and/or articles,
and, most of all, tailoring any class to the attendees at hand through
listening and responding well to their training concerns. The after-training,
on-the-job results have demonstrated a categorical improvement in
more effectively fulfilling the client's requirements.
