Stephen Schecter

Stephen H. Schecter, Ph.D.
Stephen Schecter is currently a Senior Consultant at SMG. Dr. Schecter works with clients in the areas of building customer satisfaction, quality, and employee commitment for organizational improvement. He was a lead developer on SMG's Leading for Quality and Customer Focus project team and has recently also been working in SMG's Project Management program.

Dr. Schecter is also the founder of HarrisWard, LTD, a management consulting firm that specializes in helping individuals and their organizations build sustainable competitive advantage. He has 20 years experience enabling large and small organizations to better meet their business goals, with clients including: Hoffman-La Roche, Bath Iron Works, A.C. Nielsen, Johnson & Johnson, The Guardian Insurance Company, AIG, Parexel Internal, Swiss Bank, and numerous governmental agencies and smaller business enterprises.

Prior to founding HarrisWard, Dr. Schecter was manager of Organization and Human Resource Development at SmithKline Beecham, RJR Nabisco and Amtrak. He earned his advanced degrees at Temple University, has taught at universities in the USA and Canada, and is a member of the Association for Quality and Participation, the Executive Study Conference, OD Network, and ASTD.
