Kevin Pitts

Kevin C. Pitts, Chief Learning Officer
Kevin Pitts is Vice President with the Strategic Management Group, Inc. where he works closely with clients to solve their organizational issues. Mr. Pitts' areas of expertise include strategy, project management, marketing, finance and leadership.

Mr. Pitts has worked with many of the leading Global 1000 organizations such as: AT&T, HP, GE, EDS, Sprint, MCI, MECA, DuPont, and Motorola.

Prior to joining SMG, Mr. Pitts worked as a management consultant to such industries as pharmaceutical, imaging systems, telecommunications, specialty chemicals, arms & ammunition, and aerospace & defense. In this capacity he designed recommendations and implemented solutions in the areas of strategic assessment, budget and finance procedures, accounting, shop floor productivity and sales/marketing processes.

Mr. Pitts also has several years of experience in the financial services arena in a marketing capacity. He was a member of the start-up management team for Health Chicago (HMO) where he designed and implemented financial controls, operational procedures, and sales and marketing processes.

Mr. Pitts attended the Colgate Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he received an MBA with a concentration in Finance/Organizational Behavior, and Colgate University, from which he received a BA in Philosophy. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh in the area of Strategic Management.
